Disclosures

Pursuant to FTC Regulations, I have added this page of disclosures so that it is clear when I am writing on behalf of someone else.

My Employer

Calvary Christian Church.  My blog is my own.  My opinions are mine, and do not necessarily reflect the views of my church.  However, please understand that I work for the church, and believe in it firmly, so anything I write about the church is biased.

People Who Consult With Me

Amazing as it is from time to time people ask me for my opinion.  This could be anyone from other churches, colleagues in the ministry, to just about anyone else.  I have done everything from speak in chapel services for Christian elementary schools to offer graphic design advice to dental offices.  In some cases I am not compensated monetarily, in many cases I am.

So if I am advertising something that is connected with an organization just assume I am getting paid to do so.  Odds are I may be doing it just because I like the organization, but it’s never safe to assume.

People Who Have Sent Me Unsolicited Free Stuff

As a pastor I am constantly receiving free curriculum and books from various publishers.  If I have chosen to review any of these products, I have done it at my own initiative and have not been asked by the publisher to post a positive review.

People Who Have Sent My Solicited Free Stuff

As a pastor I am constantly reviewing curriculum, books, videos, etc… from various sources.  If I have chosen to review any of these products, I have done it at my own initiative and have not been asked by the publisher to post a positive review.

Statement of Affiliate Marketing

I may make money off of you.  From time to time I will post links to books and other items that I like.  If you click on the link and purchase the item, I may make a commission off of that sale.  Currently I use Amazon for this.  So, assume I’ll make money off of you.   No worries though, if this is happening I’ll also let you know by posting an in-post disclosure.  Also, no fear, I only recommend good stuff.  That is to say, if I don’t like something, I won’t recommend it to you.

Statement of Privacy

Don’t ever submit something you wouldn’t want known to the whole world.  If you post a comment on my site, even if you later take it down, it is still out there somewhere.  The internet has a photographic memory.

Statement of Content

This is my blog so I reserve the right to update, edit, or delete your content, or mine, without warning or notice.  If you want to rant and rave about certain topics, use certain language, or just plain be rude, feel free to get your own blog.

Final Disclosure

The outline for this disclosure agreement came from Christopher Penn.
